Carta Porte 3.0
The Carta Porte Complement 3.0 is a legal document that serves as proof of the contract between a carrier and a shipper or user who contracts their service. It acts as proof of e-document or delivery of goods, their legal possession, and transport. This document must be issued by the carrier.
Also, the Carta Porte Complement 3.0 was published on the SAT Portal in September 2023 and currently the 2.0 and 3.0 versions are in a coexistence period until March 31, 2024..
In foreign trade transactions, the invoice with the Waybill complement is required starting January 1, 2024.
The complement must be incorporated into a CFDI (electronic invoice) of the Transfer or Income type as follows:
- The Carta Porte 3.0 Complement is incorporated into the CFDI of the Transfer type to prove the possession of the goods, providing information on the origin and destinations of the goods that are moved through the different means of transport.
- Taxpayers who provide goods transportation services through various means of transport may issue an Income-type CFDI incorporating the Carta Porte 3.0 complement, which will cover the legal possession of the goods.
Therefore, a CFDI (electronic invoice) is generated for the transfer of goods or for transportation services with the Carta Porte 3.0 complement.
This will be required by taxpayers who transport goods and/or merchandise within the national territory, using any of the following modes: Federal trucking, maritime, air, and rail.
The objective is to generate a CFDI with the Carta Porte complement that details the goods or merchandise, their origin, intermediate points, and destination; their mode of transport; and also includes the transport of hydrocarbons and petroleum products.
The stamping of CFDI with the complementm will be done through the
Stamping Webservice already established by Solución Factible®.
We are pleased to inform you that our Testing Webservice is now available for the complement's stamping. We suggest you perform any tests you deem necessary.
